Component manufacture

Need unique machined components or specialised parts? Chances are our sister company Perfectune Engineering can help.

Perfectune Engineering has been manufacturing quality components for over 45 years and is the name behind the Yella Terra brand. Our success and longevity come from our ability to deliver on our commitments and to get it right the first time.

Today we produce a wide range of components, often prototypes, from a few of to a few thousand. We do this for a wide range of industries and research organisations in Australia and around the world.

Precision components

Precision components

These are prototype complex screw compressor rotors and machine cams, which can be produced from engineering drawings or in the case of these illustrated components, reverse engineered from samples.

Cylinder heads

Cylinder head

Cylinder heads are considered to be the most complex single component produced in an automotive plant. We machine or manufacture over 30 different cylinder heads in cast iron or aluminium for petrol and diesel configurations for automotive, aircraft and industrial applications. These illustrated heads are for the Australian Army Leopard tanks, which have a German designed V10 engine.

Turned components

Metal forming roll

We manufacture a wide range of turned components from the large metal forming roll (illustrated) down to small rollers 12mm in diameter.

Yella Terra components

Yella Terra parts

We manufacture over 500 components for our own Yella Terra hi-performance engine parts range which are sold internationally including these illustrated 'Terra Charger' superchargers.

Aluminium billet

General industry components

We produce an extremely wide range of typical components for general industry. Most require absolute quality control and in many cases 100% inspection and certification. The illustrated aluminium billet is one of the 285 fully machined into electrical switch contacts for a Newcastle, NSW aluminium smelter.

Water-cooled roller

The pallet changing facility, rare on vertical machining centres, allows us to load a part while machining on the other pallet, substantially saving production time.
